Office 365 vs. Office 2013
By John Juroe
In a nutshell, Office 365 is a subscription to use the Office applications, whereas Office 2013 is a one-time purchase that you install on a single device, much like you're used to today.
Office 365 can be used on any device, anywhere, with an internet connection since it is cloud-based. You can also install it locally on up to 5 computers.
Office 2013 is the less expensive option when looking across multiple years, but does not have the flexibility and mobility that Office 365 has.
Office 365 is also a great option for businesses (especially ones that are 50 employees or less) because it negates the need for an Exchange server internally.
Please let me know if you have any questions about these products or if you're looking to evaluate your options for your business moving forward.
