Procrastination
Ok, what is a Monday Queen/King? It’s not what you might be thinking, shame on you LOL.
A Monday Queen/King is someone that always says or thinks “On Monday, I’m going to start……). They always have a plan or something they want to start. A diet, a new blog (hmmmm), a new job search, reading a new book, starting a prayer life. You get the drift.
Now Monday was named "The Moon's Day" by the anglo-saxons, in honor of the moon goddess. Now the Moon Goddess was thought to be the Great Mother, Goddess of Compassion, Priestess, Creator/Preserver/Destroyer, Lady of Communion, Muse, Goddess of Love, Primal Goddess, Initiator, Wise Woman, Weaver/Dreamer, Queen of Death and Alchemical Goddess. WOW she has 13 titles, wonder how much she was paid.
The point is in all of this we don’t see Goddess of Procrastination, Great Procrastinator or just plan Procrastination. With “Monday Queen/Kings” the road to starting something always starts with Monday, I’m gonna start this, or Monday, I’m gonna do that.
Monday Queen/Kings are the rulers of PROCRASTINATION. Monday works out well for them because by the time Monday comes, they can find an excuse to put it off for another day.
The Misconception: You procrastinate because you are lazy and can’t manage your time well. This truly is a misconception. Basically what you are doing is replacing high-priority actions with low-priority actions and putting off what is important to a later time. This is because…..
The Truth: Procrastination is fueled by weakness in the face of impulse and a failure to think about thinking. Thus causing stress, a sense of guilt and crisis and a needless foundation of being counterproductive.
If on Wednesday or Thursday you come up with a good idea, a desire, a strong indication that you should be making a change. If your presented with an opportunity, a situation then why does it have to wait until Monday for you to take action.
Why can’t you “Think Outside the Box (Monday) by thinking and moving differently, unconventionally or from a new perspective. Why stay in the Box of Procrastination (On Monday, I’ll…..). It’s so much fun outside the box. Such a big world. Thinking, moving, doing “Outside the Box” means coming up with creative ways to solve problems, new ways to look at things, starting that diet, writing that blog, making decisions.
So let’s OVERTHROW the Monday Queens/Kings and move on to doing things Outside the Box.
