What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a company like yours?

A:

Make sure the contractor has experience and is insured. If a price seems too good to be true, I assure you it is. Most handyman providers provide painting services, but are they painters? There is a difference. We do offer handyman services, but we are a painting business, first and foremost. A painter should be able to repair the substrate (surface to be coated) they are hired to paint. Many "low ballers" will shoot you a very low price, then add as they go. We do not. They often have no overhead (insurance, advertising, continuing education in their chosen field). We do. We try to be the middle quote, because a professional painter doesn't have to charge an "arm and a leg." Common sense will usually prevail when hiring a painter. Get several quotes, ask questions - look up common answers on-line prior to you quote, that way you have a really good measuring stick to gauge the painter or estimator's experience. While you can't judge a book by it's cover, you still want it to be quality-oriented. Are the dressed professionally? Do they appear to maintain proper hygiene? Seriously - there are "painters" who show up that I wouldn't allow in my home. Again, common sense will usually prevail. We background check and drug screen each employee, and we verify their work experience. We have strict appearance and hygiene standards. We simply want you to get a great paint job, by reputable and highly trained professionals,at a decent price.

What is the most common type of project or service your company provides?

Our most common projects are residential and commercial repaints. This ranges from walls and ceilings to decks and fences. Other projects we commonly work on are garage floor epoxy coatings, metal roof and fence coatings and concrete coatings.

In what ways is your company environmentally friendly?
|
A:
|
Whenever possible, we use low or zero VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) paints and stains. We are responsible about our waste management, our quotes are paperless which saves trees and waste, and we protect the areas we paint by using plastic and drop cloths to keep paint off of vegetation, etc.

What would you like your customers to know about your company?

Our goal is to provide you with a high quality project, using industry standard techniques, by reputable and highly trained pros, at a reasonable cost. We always try to work within a reasonable budget and we can customize projects to meet your needs, within a reasonable budget. We are a local, family, woman, and disabled veteran owned business. Paul is a US Army veteran, Shawna has many years of management experience and dealing with the general public. They and their children live in Morgan County, Indiana.

What separates your company from the competition?
|
A:

We ensure your satisfaction 100%. Every client accompanies us on the final day through out the project, and any deficiencies are addressed on the spot, using a "punch list." This is prior to final payment, and this reduces callbacks. We then have the client sign a document stating they are satisfied with the project. Furthermore, we will return within 30 days to address any problems that we all missed (rare.) we will also provide touch ups for damage resulting from moving furniture, carpet or trim installation, etc. Anything short of intentional abuse or child/pet damage. This being said, you've gotten a great project at a reasonable cost, you've examined and stated you're happy and satisfied, and on top of that we will return within 30 days to fix common issues - to ensure your satisfaction. We want you as a client for life. Our employees are background checked and drug screened - zero tolerance for drugs/alcohol and convicted felons. We maintain a strict safety program, and we have strict appearance policies for our employees. This being said, as far as we know we are the only painters who have all of this in place.

Does your company offer a warranty or guarantee?
|
A:
|
We do have warranties for certain projects, which are transferable. Our quality guarantee is comprised of a walk-through at the end of the project, with deficiencies corrected on the spot. We offer a 30 day free touch up - If we all miss something, if carpet or trim is installed and scratches the paint, if furniture is moved and scuffs the paint - we will return and fix it. And this is all in writing.

We offer a 10% discount for Seniors, Fire/Police/EMS, Veterans/Active Duty/National Guard & Reserves.
