What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a company like yours?

Only have a licensed pool professional do the inspection as only a licensed professional can give you bids on equipment repair. The inspection report should be in writing or typed with pictures of code infractions, and repairs. A company with a TICL can do electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, and gas line repairs.
Ask if they have equipment to do a leak analysis.

What is the most common type of project or service your company provides?

After a pool inspection, we get called back to do code compliance violation repairs and equipment upgrades. Most pool companies are not licensed to do repairs and many of the pool companies do not know the code or why it is important.

Besides finding pools that have water leaks, we repair leaks. Earl is the inventor of the Top Drain Cover that saves rainwater and helps the pool keep water from flowing out of the overflow drain. We also install VS Pumps that save up to 85% on electricity used by the circulation equipment for the pool.

We guarantee all services and warranty for all repairs and equipment we install. The manufacturer has the last say in how long the warranty is.

I just did an inspection the seller called and wanted information on the pricing for the repairs. I had to inform him he had to call the buyer. I'm happy to do the repairs for the seller but the new owner/buyer does not get a warranty, so I was protecting the buyer. In the pool industry equipment warranties do not transfer only the person who purchased gets a warranty.

No, I've retired from all organizations. Inspections take most of my time.
