Questions & Answers
Q: What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a company like yours?
A: When hiring a contractor, customers need to realize that you will be working or living around this contractor while your project is completed. Is the face of the company going to be the one that comes to do the work, or is that just a sales person and will the company send another group of people to do the work? What kind of a crew does the contractor have? Are they employees or subcontractors? Is the contractor insured? Since subcontractors are paid a flat fee, rather than by the hour, they may try to cut corners on the quality and workmanship of your job. If the owner is not present, at the very least, the project manager, employees or subcontractors may try to cut corners that will sacrifice the quality of your job. Make sure you have a contract, in writing, specifying exactly what work is to be performed and what materials you will use. Sometimes we put this in writing, other times, we specify top end materials in the color and brand of your choice if we don't know (or you aren't sure) of which brand you want to use. As long as the paint is a major brand name, regardless of it being Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, Behr, Porter, PPG, etc., you should not have a problem. If we aren't using a top of the line paint, it will be at the request of the owner, perhaps it's a rental property that they only want to put a maintenance grade on, (and then we would do so on the interior, never the exterior), but the brand isn't the biggest question, but the quality of the product purchased for your home or project. Being contractors for so long, we have often watched other crews come in with top of the line materials, and cut them 50/50 with water. There are times, especially in the summer when the heat tends to make products set up and makes them very difficult to work with, that adding a "little" water may be necessary, but there will never be an occasion where 50/50 is required. This is a guarantee that your paint job will fail. It's not an "if" it's a "when"

Q: What is the most common type of project or service your company provides?
A: Lately, we seem to be doing a lot of porches and decks that are either new or old and need work to bring them back.to their former glory. We've also been very busy on getting homes restrained while the weather is so pretty.

Q: In what ways is your company environmentally friendly?
A: We make every effort to be as environmentally friendly as we can be by using low or no VOC products whenever possible.

How We Charge For Our Services
Commercial Exterior - Paint or Stain
- $1.50 to $7.50 per square foot
There are far too many variables to give an accurate price per sq ft here. From a recently purchased house that the new owner just wants a new color applied, which takes very little prep other than pressure wash it and paint it, to the old home neglected for 20 years that requires not only pressure washing, but possibly blasting, sanding, and scraping before applying a new primer base and finishing with 2 coats on top. Every house, every porch, they're all different and have special needs (one may be full sun, the other full shade) and have to be addressed individually.

Commercial Interior - Paint or Stain
- $2.50 to $10.00 per square foot
Typically, commercial painting on the interior of a business means working around the clientele of the business, most likely with low or no-odor paint (which is more expensive than standard paint), and possibly working before of after hours which often means additional compensation for employees that have to make arrangements to work a different shift than normal, either staying late, or arriving extremely early, to accommodate the business
