What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a company like yours?

Check with your neighbors, local chat boards and especially family members.
Also make sure never ever believe online reviews. Unless you know who wrote it and verify that is their words and not someone pretending to be them.
Check local government agencies like the BBB and CCB. Not everyone who has a problem with a contactor files a claim as a result of bad work or getting ripped off.
It is a shame there is no list off shabby customers who don't pay their bills. But there is a list of bad contractors on the oregon.gov/CCB that list the most offenses. But not all are reported causing more customers getting ripped off. Even a slight offenses should be reported. I know you do not want anyone taking advantage of you. And it is embracing to admit it to anyone, let alone a public claim.
You do your best for everyone.
You expect the same. And you deserve the best. If you have time to get a few quotes, also check for politeness and your gut feeling. If it sounds to good to be true then it might not be true. Remember money can't buy you love.

We help prevent chimney fires. One of our trucks get 32 mpg. We recommend a newer wood stove. They put off less carbon than the same wood decomposing in the forest. Instead of putting our soot and ash waste in the dumpster, we spread it around to fertilize.
