Our Process
Great design is born as result of marrying ideas, program and art. Like music, architecture when properly composed, tells a story. Each key is designed to strike major and minor chords at just the right moment creating harmony and melody to produce a masterpiece. And like music, architecture is emotive. It is a living and breathing composition that inspires and connects us to our past, shares our present and announces our future. It is the sonnet of our story.
From breathtaking views to serene spaces that evoke tranquility, each story is as unique as the client it reflects. At DMA our process to design your song begins with a Needs and Options review. We take a holistic and collaborative approach taking into account the opportunities and limitations of your site; your desires and your budget. From breathtaking views to serene spaces that evoke tranquility, each story is as unique as the client it reflects.

Our Design Philosophy
Just as fashion seeks to elevate the person without consuming their individuality, so architecture seeks to restore the soul. Like the great sculptors of the renaissance who believed that hidden in material, art and soul were waiting to be revealed, we believe that intrinsic to design is the ability to see what is there and what can be. Whether a blank canvas, plot of land or an existing property that needs to be rejuvenated, we begin with a question. The question of what is your story and purpose?
Understanding our client's story releases a wealth of knowledge, ideas and artistic expression where comprehensive, purposeful design solutions are born. It is this story waiting to be told where we find our uniqueness that defines who we are, identifies and attracts others to us. Here is where we are revealed and others are invited to partake and weaved into the fabric of our story. Like a cape that adorns the mannequin, the purpose of architecture and design is to adorn the soul and elev

Rebranding | Interior Design of People of Faith Luthern Church
DMA was commissioned to provide commercial interior design services for a church in Windermere, FL consisting of reception entryway and sanctuary. The church needed assistance in telling their story and showcasing their identity. The church's theme was "Making Sunday's Great". It is my pleasure to provide a letter of recommendation for Daniel Martinez. Mr. Martinez provided pro-bono architectural and master planning services in conjunction with his pursuit and completion of master level thesis program. The scope of this project included a feasibility study and master plan of a ninety three acre site. The master plan included campus based site design featuring mixed-use facilities for K-12 school; library; on grade and structured parking; dormitories and pastoral staff housing; retail shops and banquet halls and 10,000 seat mega-church building with offices. The master plan was arranged around a retention lake which was also used for the campus wide HVAC system. His design approach utilized sustainable principles and materials.
Mr. Martinez prepared pre-design services which included a demographic study as well as space programming. The schematic and design development primarily focused on the mega-church and facilities.

Daniel was a student of mine at the NewSchool of Architecture & Design in San Diego. He was an outstanding student who always sought and explored the means by which he could expand his body of knowledge about architecture and the built environment.
