History of Faulconer Construction Co.
Faulconer Construction Company — headquartered in Charlottesville, Virginia — has a long and successful history serving our customers in Virginia and the broader Southeast region. We are routinely engaged in 30 to 40 major projects across the full spectrum of the site development and heavy highway construction markets.
Since 1946, Faulconer has been a mainstay of the central Virginia construction industry, supporting our clients and other general contractors in building some of the most challenging and prestigious projects. In the early 2000s, we expanded into the Carolinas and Northern Virginia in order to support increased project demands in those areas. Since that time, we have continued to enlarge our footprint throughout the Southeast.

DOES INSURANCE COVER THE COST OF FOUNDATION OR WALL REPAIRS? If your foundation or cracked wall issue was caused by a plumbing leak or other serious issue, your insurance company may cover the cost of repair or offer assistance. However, most foundation issues have been creeping up over time due to poor soil, drainage or initial construction and are not covered by insurance. At any rate, it's important to get your free inspection so we can determine the cause and type of repair you need.

The StrongHold™ Bowing Wall Repair and Strengthening Systems are designed to strengthen your concrete or masonry walls and prevent any further bowing or movement caused by dynamic forces, moisture, and temperature variations. Two-Story Chimney, Richmond, Virginia
A two-story chimney (35 feet high) had pulled away from the side of the house. There was a 3-inch gap at the top of the chimney and a 3/16-inch gap 4-feet up from ground level. Using HELICAL PIER® Foundation Systems the issue was corrected.

A 17-year-old house had settled approximately 7/8 inch at a front corner. This settlement resulted in a 5/8 inch horizontal crack along a 4-ft. section of the front and a 3-ft. section of the side.Using Helical Piersthe 5/8 inch crack was corrected to only 1/16 inch

I wanted to send a letter to acknowledge the great work and professionalism that Jeremy Lay and crew provided us with on the project at 1900 Rolling Hill Road. The carbon fiber strips turned out great on the cracked walls at the pump station and the French drain seems to be working great. Jeremy was a pleasure to work with and I will be calling to get him look at another job here at our main office on 168 Spotnap Rd. We have some cracks in the walls at our shop, which you can see through so I want to look at the carbon fiber strips on them also.
