Use local companies thus low carbon footprints. Install smog reducing shingles. Proudly install Malarkey roofing products which have post recycled items in their roof shingles. Malarkey began combining a blend of Flexor™ asphalt with polymers from plastic milk jugs, markers, and rubber tires. These polymers improve the performance of the shingle, significantly improving the asphalt’s flexibility, granule adhesion, cold weather installation, and impact resistance. Malarkey roofing products. Since our start and long befores we have trust in there shingles. While every one else have been selling a promise of lifetime shingles and now a trend of 50yr non pro rated shingles. We have still sold only Malarkey roofing Products. Reason there engineered a long lasting roofing shingles.Through thousands of roofs we redone. One common problem improper installing in combination with 30yrs roofs. In return void manufactured warranties because of bad installation and make matters worse 30yrs shingles last 10-20yrs at the most.
Not Malalrkey Roofing in our entire career we tear off 5 malarkey roofs other contractors installed and not because of shingle failure or defects but improper installation.
We have redone many Roofs and the manufactures have paid to us to redo them for shingles prematurely failing around 15yr.

Attic ventilation. Opinions deferred about it. One gold rule even in all the documentation states golden rule if it working don’t change it.
We have done historical homes dating back a century. In the great north west. Not even then did they need fancy ventilation. Local code and even manfactures fine print is different to another. In our career we seen it all and if works why change it? We have learn to stay away from it. Why you ask? We did follow the rules and did what the attic venting should be for attic and countless times. We have had to go back and revert back to the same venting before changing over. We live a pocket of the nortwest where what may work in Seattle or bend doesn’t work here.
