What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a company like yours?

When choosing between items of comparable value, it makes sense to go for the lowest price. Why spend $3 on the same bottle of soda you can get at the Dollar Store? However, not all things are created equal, and price doesn’t always equal value. A 40 year old crib with lead-based paint, while cheaper than a new safety-tested model, is still not a good value (or even a good idea!) As your building’s first line of defense against the elements, your roof is an important investment. Like many things, shopping for a new roof goes beyond just comparing prices. We know that quality is important to you, and you deserve to know what you’re getting with your hard-earned money. When looking at the lowest bids, ask yourself “are corners being cut to be able to offer this price?” Hidden details can mean the difference between a roof that will leak and one that won’t. What is the most common type of project or service your company provides?

We offer residential and commercial roofing - composition shingle for sloped roofs and thermoplastic membrane for flat roofs. The majority of our jobs are residential sloped roofs. We work closely with our clients to educate them about the various aspects of their roof and their available options, so that they can make an informed and confident decision. We have earned recognition as an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, which allows us to offer our clients a lifetime manufacturer's warranty. Our level of dedication to our clients continues after the work is complete, as we match our workmanship guarantee to the length of the manufacturer's warranty. We feel this should be the last roof you EVER have to pay for!

What is your company best known for?

As a company that's been serving the same small community since 1980, it's not surprising that many people have heard of us through word of mouth & on the radio, and have seen our trucks and our ads. But being a fixture in the community doesn't mean much if you're only known because your name is everywhere. Most of our business comes from referrals from our happy clients. They appreciate the honest and thorough evaluation of their project (quite often we tell people they don't need a roof yet, rather than trying to sell them on something they don't need). We educate them on how their roof functions and what their options are. Our entire team works with each client, building a relationship and paying attention to their needs and concerns. Our talented, skilled crew makes sure the job is done right and we are often told they leave the jobsite cleaner than it was when they arrived. We have been around since 1980, and have watched other roofers come and go. In such a small community, word of mouth is huge, and we have built a great reputation which earns us many referrals. Our biggest asset is our incredible crew - they work seamlessly together and their skill, talent and dedication shows in everything they do. Unlike other companies that treat their employees like hired help, our crew members are all owners and are involved in the important decisions for the company. A:	We are an Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, which allows us to offer their lifetime warranty. We offer our workmanship guarantee for the non-prorated period of their warranty (usually 50 years.)

A:	We are a BBB accredited company, and are members of the Nevada County Contractors Association and the Greater Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce.
