“Sunflower Power” ...Sunflower Hull Ash Fertilizer...
Ft.Myers, April, 2013: SEP has supplied golf courses for more than 10 years with products to maintain from tee to green. SEP is now releasing the New and Improved Sunflower Hull Ash Fertilizer line. In conjunction with Amino Solutions, we have developed several formulations of this SUPER FOOD for soil. Sunflower Hull Ash is 100% organic, rich in potassium providing slow release potash into the soil. This is beneficial by adding carbon to help feed and maintain microbial activity.
During the industrial processing of sunflowers, sunflower husks remain unused. The husks contain a variety of plant nutrients and micro elements. Ash is obtained from burning these husks and becomes a slow releasing potash which is important for root development.
