Everyone whom are thinking in hiring a contractor shall be aware of few important key factors that will help them getting better understand and great results at the end of their project. Hiring a contractor can turn into a nightmare. Always...!!! keeping in mind the lowest bidder may not be the best choice !!! a general contractor is who manages all aspects of a project, including hiring. One important aspect that one shall look for is a competent contractor that will get all the necessary permits before starting work on your project. Make sure these contractors have the proper license qualification in relation to the scope of work you are requesting. Obtain an insurance verification for their "general liability" Workers compensation" and to make sure their state bound is current and up to date. Get some reference from such contractors so you will feel more comfortable to have them around, specially if you will be around throughout the construction period. All alway recommended for large project to get involve a third party, a construction management professional. This individual is going to between you and your contractor; specially when there are an extra cost.
