Q:
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a company like yours?
A:
Don't shop around primarily on price. There are great differences between home inspectors regarding experience, thoroughness, in quality of communication and reports. Reports. When inspecting, possibly the most expensive investment in a person's life, they should consider hiring the most expensive, not the least expensive inspector. The better ones simply know they're better and charge accordingly.
Ask for sample reports and compare what you're getting. Ask how they're inspecting the roof and how much of the attic in crawl space they intend to inspect.

Unfortunately, usually the first question is how much do we charge. The fee is based off of an estimate of how long it will take to inspect the home. That's based on the age and size primarily.
A more important question is asking about what is inspected, and what sets us apart from others
