What's the difference between laminate wood and vinyl planks? Laminate wood looks and feels like hardwood, and is very durable. Vinyl planks are a little more flimsy, but you would never known the difference once it's installed. Vinyl planks are also much more water resistant than any type of laminate or hardwood, and often are put in bathrooms and kitchens.

We recently installed the floors in an upstairs add-on to a wooden cabin. We installed the floors in two large bedrooms with closets, a landing, and two adjoining bathrooms with closets. It was approximately 800 square feet, and turned out beautifully.
