However, the space soon became cluttered with living room furniture, medical supplies, and personal items, overwhelming my client. She reached out to us for help. We donated unnecessary living room furniture and selected new bedroom pieces that offered ample storage while reflecting my client's design preferences. I realized that my experiences were different from my peers, who were able to clean their clients’ homes in a matter of hours. I struggled to find a balance between clearing clutter and performing the cleaning I was hired for. Despite my best efforts, the clutter seemed to defeat the purpose of cleaning, leaving spaces looking unrestful even after hours of work. And, the clutter would reappear every time I returned. Listening to my clients’ stories of grief, fear, and anxiety, I felt a deep dissatisfaction with the temporary solutions I was providing. Learning that people were losing their homes due to clutter propelled me to shift my focus solely to organizing. I recognized that my passion and impact lay in addressing the root of the problem, creating lasting change by transforming cluttered spaces into harmonious sanctuaries. This realization marked the beginning of my journey as a professional organizer, dedicated to empowering lives through organizing.
