Questions & Answers
Q:
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a company like yours?
A:
Make sure you feel comfortable when talking with your contractor. You should know that you can reach the contractor directly anytime you have a questions or concern. Remember this will be a relationship that lasts anywhere from 2 weeks to a year (depending on your project). Also, take some time to learn about how your contractor came to be an expert not only in building, but also in business so you know that he will be around when it comes time to take care of warranty work.

Q:
What is the most common type of project or service your company provides?
A:
Kitchen Remodeling, Bathroom Remodeling, and Home Additions are the most common projects we are hired to build.
Q:
What would you like your customers to know about your company?
A:
We are family owned and operated but we are also unique because we employ 3 sets of families so we believe our team is much more invested in our client's happiness because it affects them more personally than it might with other contractors.
Q:
What is your company best known for?
A:
We have an incredible reputation for being highly communicative with our clients. The owner has a unique history as well so his experience and background has become a topic of many conversations in the industry.
Q:
What separates your company from the competition?
A:
Our management team comes from a corporate background so we have a different mentality and method of operations than most "mom and pop" contracting companies. We like to believe we are a little more sophisticated.
Q:
Does your company offer a warranty or guarantee?
A:
Absolutely! Depending on what type of service you receive from us, you will receive a written warranty at the end of your project.
Q:
What questions do customers most frequently ask you? What is your answer?
A:
Why are we so expensive.
Honestly, we are asked that quite often. We are not the cheapest in town, but (by far) we are not the most expensive either! We live in a high-cost of living area (San Diego) - and we employ professional office staff, journeyman installers, and previous licensed general contractors for project managers - that level of experience commands a higher salary but delivers a higher quality project with less headache and much higher quality finished product.

Q:
Does your company offer discounts to senior citizens or veterans?
A:
Unfortunately we do not at this time.
Q:
Describe a project or service that your company recently completed (include challenges, costs, and innovative solutions).
A:
We recently completed a master bathroom remodel where the clients wanted both a bathtub and a shower but the space did not really allow for both. We came up with a unique design which we call a "wet bath". The tub was in the shower enclosure area. The homeowners loved the idea because it makes their shower space seem gigantic and when they elect to take a bath, they step into the shower area rather than the flooring area so they don't have to worry about getting the surrounding area wet while they dry off.

Q:
Is your company a member of any associations?
A:
We are members of the NKBA, San Diego Chamber of Commerce, and Escondido Chamber of Commerce

Kitchen Remodel
This kitchen remodel was completed in early 2017, although the design took place in late 2016. The remodel consisted of bumping out a wall to expand the kitchen, adding a pass through window to an outside bar, and renovating the adjacent living room.

Whole House Remodel
This kitchen remodel was part of a whole house remodel that took place in a La Jolla turn of the century home. Along with this kitchen, we added a new bathroom and renovated the two existing bathrooms. The entire home was gutted and completely re-designed and re-built.

Our project manager was pretty awesome. Once the bathroom started getting torn apart, Royce was the one to keep all the subs on schedule to put it back together, and he did a great job of coordinating it all.

Overall the experience with Classic was positive. Jack and Gordie are a pleasure to deal with. Our remodel came out beautifully and would definitely use them again for a major type of remodel.

The quality of the workers that came to the home. I was extremely appreciative of the quality and they way they respected us in our home. We also enjoyed conversing with them even, and were very impressed with the quality of their work.
