What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a company like yours?

The price is not the most important factor when considering a contractor. It is more important to have a good working relationship, and honest communication to ensure satisfaction of a job well done.

Q:
What would you like your customers to know about your company?
A:

Most jobs takes us 8-15 business days to complete. If there are any issues we will work with you to rectify them. If you call us we will respond to you. We will not start a job and just disappear for days at a time, without calling. We feel that good communication is the corner stone of any construction project.

Q:
What questions do customers most frequently ask you? What is your answer?
A:
Most customers are most concerned with pricing...although this is a consideration, there are many factors when selecting a contractor. Do they show up everyday? Are they reputable? Do they do good work? Will they communicate with you? Are they giving you a low ball price, knowing that there is a hidden issue that they will later charge you for? How long will the project take? Make sure you use a licensed and insured contractor for your projects.

Q:
Describe a project or service that your company recently completed (include challenges, costs, and innovative solutions).
A:
When planning a substantial remodeling project it is always most efficient to deal with a General Contractor, who will then deal and plan with other subcontractors needed for the project. We recently had a project where the customer purchased items from another company that I have not dealt with prior to the start of the project, and since I didn't directly deal with company I really had no sway with them to do their job properly. The company delayed the project by at least seven months, and then made many errors that my company had to remedy. This ended up costing the home owner not only a ridiculous amount of time to complete the project, it also cost extra money which they thought they were going save by going with this other company. I don't mind dealing with a preferred contractor the customer requests, but sometimes this can upset the process the General Contractor has established process. Since I deal with many of my subcontractors on a regular basis I have much more clout to get them to make sure their craftsmanship is done in a timely manner, and of high quality.
