What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a company like yours?

A:
|
Having photos or inspirational images and research is paramount. Getting on the same page visually with a client and what they imagine can be a challenge.
Scheduling can be a challenge. Be prepared to be flexible while you are undergoing improvements. I always try to work within my client's desired schedule, but sometimes that could make a project take longer than estimated.

What is the most common type of project or service your company provides?

A:

Color consultation, painting and bathroom tile design.

In what ways is your company environmentally friendly?

A:
|
I try to use paints with low VOC's. My faux paints and mural paints are almost exclusively made by Faux Effects International. Most of their materials that I use are water soluble, including the stains. This makes clean up and breathing easy.

What would you like your customers to know about your company?
|
|
A:
|
Most of what can be learned about my company is on my website and no job is too big or too small. If I can't do it, I will tell you and chances are I know someone else who can do the job for you. Many of us in the industry work together when larger projects come forth and my relationships with other service providers in the area a good.

A:

Color consulting, interior design consulting and tile design consulting.

What separates your company from the competition?
|
|
A:
|
I am a fine artist above all things and I can be very creative when the time calls for it. I can also provide simple strait forward solutions for interiors.

Does your company offer a warranty or guarantee?
|
|
A:
|
I have never had to use either of those things but there is a "kill" fee in the contract. If in the event the work is not satisfactory, I keep the deposit and the client is not responsible for paying for the whole job. Before any work commences, I make sure to have the client sign off on all specifications and sometimes sample boards of particular finishes to ensure the end result meets expectations.

Customers are generally worried about color and making things "go" or "match" so the always ask my opinion for colors of every finish.

I never have but I would consider it.

Amber Nelson - Has a BA from the University of MD, with a double major in Art History and Studio Art and a minor in Business and Marketing. She also has a MA in Publication Design from the University of Baltimore. She has educated herself in the fields of art/photography, interior design, graphic design, TV, Film and personal styling and has been certified by Google Inc.(innerspace photography), Ethan Allen Inc. (interior design) and J.Hilburn Inc.(personal styling) and is a 17 – year member of the Screen Actors Guild / American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.

Space Challenge
The challenge: A small cabin in the southern part of Red Lodge with only tiny footprint doesn't have a cooking stove, lacks enough sink space to wash dishes and simply isn't enough space for the renter. The renter wanted to propose some upgrades to the owner, and the owner obliged to hear him out. He imagined a bigger kitchen with more amenities and a loft bed to increase square common area footage, but wasn't completely sure it would be possible, given the pitch height of the ceiling/roof and existing conditions.
Proposed Solution: I went to the cabin to measure and assess if any of the renter's upgrade requests could be possible. I measured the entire cabin to only be 12' x 25'. That's only 300 SF. Some folks in New York City have managed to live in small quarters similar to that but they are surrounded by restaurants and all other necessary amenities. Interior Design Perspective Rendering
When asked to produce her vision of space in perspective, Amber Nelson created this perspective drawing - creating a two-story overlook into a the living room. Aside from opening the space to the above floor, the shelving, fireplace, art, sculptures and rug were all custom designed by Amber.

The foyer was going to be bland without this custom marble tile mosaic rug designed by Amber Nelson. Now, there is no need for a real rug and the high traffic area will stay beautiful for years to come.
