Not all chimney companies are created equal. There is a nationally recognized chimney certification process, It is called the chimney safety Institute of America. The website is csia.org. You can go to the website put your ZIP Code in and find a certified professional. There is a lot of things that makes sense with chimneys but are not safe. Your certified professionals know the safety aspects of your fireplace and chimney and can advise you in the proper manner.
