What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a company like yours?

The many types of appraisals and reasons for them. Appraising is an opinion and an actual value is only determined when a sale is completed. Fees and experience and time to complete are important but can be pitfalls. The best appraisers are those that put in the time and effort to do a good job. As in any business the lowest may be okay but not the best. Experience and designations are important but only if the appraiser keeps update on changing methods, theories and tools available. Fastest may not be the best as it could lead to short cuts. It is important to understand that appraisers are humans and render an opinion and even the best will not always be correct. However the appraiser who does the most research and analogy will likely provide an appraisal that has considered all the most important value factors and thus an opinion that is to be disputed. Thus selecting an appraiser you feel understands why you need the appraisal and has a good grasp of your market area should be the most important factor.

What is the most common type of project or service your company provides?

We provide appraisals of residential properties up to 4 units. The appraisal can be for loan, tax, divorce, buyout, estate or probate purposes. Or they can be for general knowledge.

Real Estate Appraisers - Residential
- $400.00 to $600.00 fixed fee (single family home or condo) Fees are based on degree of difficulty and type of appraisal required.
