Q:
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a company like yours?
A:
Make sure you discuss your specific wants and needs with a prospective bookkeeper. It's important that a bookkeeper knows all facets of your business as well as the concerns you have for the future. What is the concern that keeps you awake at night? A data-entry-only bookkeeper cannot offer advice about growing your business, only one trained to advise and nurture you can do that. Price shouldn't be your primary concern. Look for someone who truly wants to be your partner in growth.

Q:
What is the most common type of project or service your company provides?
A:
Entering transactions and reconciling to bank and credit card statements is the most time-consuming task. This is the data that feeds your monthly reports and makes it possible for your tax person to be able to timely file company returns. Your bookkeeper and tax person should have a relationship also.

Q:
In what ways is your company environmentally friendly?
A:
Everything about the business is online (virtual) so there are no paper documents kept or the need for file cabinets. This also speaks to the security and privacy of the business.

Q:
What would you like your customers to know about your company?
A:
I'd like you to know that we can create a package of services that solve your business issues with a monthly cost that doesn't change and, therefore, can be easily budgeted. No surprises.
I can also offer tax planning services with software that integrates with your bookkeeping software so that an estimated tax due is monitored, with suggestions for alleviating some of this burden before the tax bill comes due. This is a huge improvement over waiting for taxes to be filed and then the tax person offering advice after the fact. Month by month you'll know where you stand.
My mission is to take the bookkeeping burden from you so you can do what you need to do to grow your business knowing that things are being monitored by trained eyes. Trained eyes that belong to someone who cares as much as you do about making you successful.

Q:
What is your company best known for?
A:
At this point I'm probably best known for wading into years of back work that needs to be organized so that taxes can be filed. You may have already thrown your hands up in despair and may be behind in tax filings and don't know your way out. I can help. Grab your bank statements and I'll get you back on track. It's not hopeless.

Q:
What separates your company from the competition?
A:
In addition to knowing proper bookkeeping (and being certified in the two largest softwares), I've also been trained to be your advisor and I know what to look for in your monthly reports and can help establish a plan to reach your goals. It's one thing to just do the bookkeeping necessary to get your taxes filed, it's a whole other thing to know where every dollar comes from and where every dollar goes. We can zero in on where things might be getting out of hand and look for other solutions.

Q:
Does your company offer a warranty or guarantee?
A:
We provide bookkeeping done to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Q:
What questions do customers most frequently ask you? What is your answer?
A:
Most frequent question is "how much". The price to provide services of your choosing for your business is based on several things, including number of monthly transactions. I cannot give you a price until we've talked about what it is you need, what you want and I've had a look at your books and recent tax return.
Q:
Does your company offer discounts to senior citizens or veterans?
A:
Since we provide services to businesses and not individuals there are no discounts on monthly fees. Generally if we've decided to do business together and you need cleanup or catchup before that begins, I may discount cleanup costs to get you started.
Q:
Tell us a little about your company.
A:
I began this bookkeeping business a few years ago after a couple of layoffs during the recession. Prior to this I was a programmer/analyst for over 30 years, so organization and reconciling are things I'm quite accomplished in. I built a reputation based on error-free results and my willingness to pitch in anywhere on large projects to see them successfully completed.

Q:
What forms of payment do you accept? (cash, check, credit cards, etc.)
A:
Monthly fees are deducted by ACH through your bank and a signed agreement on the first of each month, in advance.
