We specifically rinse all plants/flowers and grass so the water acts as a shielding agent against any chemical used. After chemical is applied to the surface that is being cleaned all plants/flowers and grass is immediately rinsed and diluted so no harm is done. This technique is used for any object that could be affected by the chemical used.
