What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a company like yours?

In my 18 years in this industry, I have found people have a tendency to make decisions without counting the cost. What I mean by this is when someone gets 3-4 quotes, they do not have an apple to apple comparison. Typically some information is shared with one installer and not another. One company decides to do something the rest do not. The greater challenge is there are ways to cut corners in order to cut cost. It might save a few dollars now, but will cost more down the road to fix. My goal is to make my clients their own subject matter expert. To assist them once they do have the quotes to look through them and and ask follow up questions. Once they have narrowed the field down, then its on them to ire who they felt most comfortable with.
